Professional and Experienced Jury Consultant
Meet Karen Fleming
After 30 years of experience as a trial consultant, I have selected hundreds of juries – including more than 50 capital cases through verdict. Some of these were high-profile cases, but most were cases prospective jurors had never heard of. Typically, the cases people have never heard of are equally important and often more challenging. Prospective jurors are much more motivated to work on cases that make the news.
I care deeply about every case, and regardless of the issues involved, every plaintiff or defendant deserves competent representation. I tailor each strategy based on the facts of the case, the people involved, and the circumstances that need to be presented.
With over 30 years of experience
There is nothing ‘cookie-cutter’ about my work – I think outside the proverbial box at every turn.

Services Offered
Case Theme Analysis
Creating an idea, a narrative, and brainstorming with counsel and clients to lay a foundation for presenting persuasive, understandable evidence.
Questionnaire Strategy
Creating, customizing, reading, and evaluating questionnaires. Making notes, and suggesting follow-up questions for voir dire. This creative aspect of jury selection is one of my favorite parts of trial preparation
Witness Preparation
Helping witnesses feel comfortable on the stand. While I can’t influence what they say, I can guide them on how to deliver responses effectively to reduce nervousness and appear truthful.
Post-Verdict Interviews
Conducting interviews to identify misconduct or gather insights on how evidence was perceived and how it could be improved.
Critiquing Demonstrative Evidence
Evaluating or suggesting graphics to make evidence as meaningful and understandable as possible
Focus Groups / Mock Juries / Discussion Groups
Providing a ‘trial run’ for difficult issues to gather feedback from community members uninvolved in the trial
